What is a White (Professionally Qualified Person) SKILLcard?

The White PQP Skillcard is available for Building Services Engineers who meet the corporate membership standards of the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) and who are able to provide evidence that they are maintaining their Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in accordance with the Institution’s membership requirements.

What qualifications will I need?

  • To gain a White (PQP) SKILLcard certification, you’ll need to have already passed the CITB Health, Safety and Environment Test.

  • You must have at least 12 months experience as a Building Services Engineer.

  • You will also need to be either an Associate, Fellow or Member of the CIBSE (Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers), and be able to supply evidence that you are fully up to date with the CIBSE’s CPD requirements.

How long is the certification valid?

The White PQP SKILLcard is valid for five years and can be renewed.

What is the next step?

There is no advancement as such for White (PQP) SKILLcard holders. It is already considered to be a top level card.
