The CPCS A36 Lorry Loader course provides candidates with the basic knowledge and skill set to operate a Lorry Loader.
Candidates will be taught through a combination of classroom discussion and practical elements. Assessment is carried out via both practical and theory exams.
This course is ideal for existing and potential operators of Lorry Loaders who either need a refresher on their training or have had no formal training.
There are three specific subtypes of machinery available to candidates on this course:
Depending on the level of experience for candidates the CPCS A36 course length differs. For inexperienced candidates the course length is 5 days and for experienced operatives the course is 2 days long.
At the end of the course successful candidates will be awarded the CITB National Construction College certificate and once the CPCS Technical Tests are passed, the CPCS Red Trained Operator Card.
Applicants to the course must have passed a CITB Health, safety and environment (HS&E) test for managerial and professional persons within the last two years. They must also have a good knowledge of both written and spoken English.
Upon completion of the course candidates may wish to consider courses in Pedestrian Operated Tower Crane, Mobile Crane, Management of Lifting Operation in Construction and the Competent Operator Card.
